Cold Weather Shelter

Each year, LLUMC hosts the Grassroots Cold Weather Shelter for a week. The cold weather shelter is a partnership with the faith community and Howard County government which provides overflow shelter from November through March. Local congregations, including LLUMC, host the shelter for one or two weeks and provide volunteers for transportation, meals, laundry and to work shifts in the shelter. Our adult, youth, and children volunteer in making our guests feel welcome, fed, and shown the compassionate love of Jesus. Want more info?
